The Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project started construction on December 20, 2023. This is a level II group B energy project with a capacity of 40MW, deployed in Huong Phung and Lao Bao communes, Quang Tri province with a total investment of about 1,500 billion VND. In this project, Hai Anh - Quang Tri Wind Power Joint Stock Company is the investor. Asia Industrial Engineering Joint Stock Company (ACIT) is responsible for supplying and constructing a series of important items, including: supplying and transporting all 08 wind turbines (including towers, turbine blades and accessories); designing, supplying and installing the entire 22/110kV step-up transformer station and the connecting 110kV line; supplying and installing the active reactive power control system (SVG); designing, supplying and constructing the 110kV NXT expansion at the 110kV Lao Bao transformer station.
On August 19, 2025, the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project was officially inaugurated and put into commercial operation (COD) at Doi Chua Area - Lao Bao Commune - Quang Tri Province. This event not only marked the completion of one of the province's typical renewable energy projects but also had a special meaning in celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The completion of the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant is of great significance to the sustainable development of the locality and the country. The project contributes to the realization of the renewable energy development strategy of Quang Tri province, affirming the role of the province in the national energy transition roadmap and climate change adaptation. With this success, ACIT affirms its position as one of the leading contractors in the field of supplying electrical equipment in Vietnam.
