In early August 2020, ACIT put Bau Zon solar power plant in Ninh Thuan province into commercial operation. In September 2020, ACIT will continue to make its mark at another large renewable energy project, which is Trung Nam Thuan Nam 500kV substation and solar power plant.
The project is implemented by Trung nam Group with a total investment of VND 12,000 billion, the implementation scale includes a 450MW solar power plant combined with a 220/500kV substation and more than 17km of 500kV dual-circuit transmission line and four 220kV transmission lines.
Particularly, the 500/220kV substation is invested in this period with two transformers with a total capacity of 1800MVA, four 500kV bays, twenty 220kV bays, a system of 500kV-220kV-33kV limiting reactors and a system of 39 GIS medium voltage panels. At the same time, the project is also invested in expanding two 500kV bays at the 500kV Vinh Tan substation.
A Chau Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT) is responsible for providing the 450MW solar power plant with all technology equipment including: Inverters, inverter transformers, RMU medium voltage panels, DC combiner boxes, AC/DC cable system and control and monitoring system of the whole factory. ACIT is also the supplier of all equipment for the 500kV substation such as: 500kV transformers, primary equipment, medium voltage panels, secondary system, SCADA - information - metering system, steel structure system and connecting accessories.
By this time, the entire work of equipment supply, construction and installation, testing of the project has been completed. Trung Nam - Thuan Nam 500kV substation is ready for energizing and the plant is also ready for COD work. When putting into operation, Trung Nam - Thuan Nam 500kV substation will contribute to the development of the power transmission system, releasing the grid capacity of Ninh Thuan province, the central coastal region as well as the entire national electricity transmission infrastructure.
