Yen Phong 5 – Bac Ninh 110kV substation Project (power supply for Samsung Display Bac Ninh Factory)

     The project “Yen Phong 5 110kV substation and its branch” has been implemented since October 2016, with a total investment of 132 billion VND by consortium of A Chau Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT) and  Thang Long  Industry – Construction – Trading Joint Stock Company (Thang Long TIC.,JSC); In which, ACIT is the main contractor providing equipment for the project. 

      The superiority of Yen Phong 5 110kV substation: The substation was built according to unmanned operating model; The equipment system was supplied from the world's leading electrical equipment manufacturers such as: Siemens, ABB, Emerson, etc., The circuit breakers, disconnectors can be controlled remotely, the entire substation is monitored through the control camera system.

      The substation was also equipped with a computer information system, scada connection including: Terminals with fiber optic lines, helping to collect, monitor and control equipment in the substation, connect to the A1 Northern power system Dispatch Center and remote-control center at Bac Ninh Power Company.

       The substation is installed with a system of operation monitoring and security warning cameras. In addition to security cameras, there are also cameras for monitoring the operating status of electrical equipment. The monitoring, recording, managing cameras and accessing to remote data, controlling scanning cameras, etc., are carried out through specialized management software.

     Therefore, connecting data, monitoring the operation of the substation and controlling electrical equipment are carried out from the remote control center at Bac Ninh Power Company and the Northern Power System Dispatch Center in Hanoi. This is a substation with many features and advantages compared to the previous traditional model substations that meets the requirements of cost optimization as well as reduction of employees directly operating at the power station, being a new step to realize the goal of building a smart grid.

      Putting Yen Phong 5 110kV substation and its branch into operation contributes to ensuring an adequate, reliable and stable power supply for immediate and long-term production for power consumption of the Samsung Complex and other enterprises in Yen Phong Industrial Park and surrounding areas.
